    Illegal Left-Turn Warning Systems for Motorcyclists were installed on a trial basis at two intersections, namely Jhonghua/Jhengcin and Jhonghua/Shihdai Blvd., to correct illegal riding behavior. The number of cases of making illegal left turns has decreased by 82% after the enforcement.

    Kaohsiung City is the first city in Taiwan to adopt the cellphone QR CODE bus riding service. Routes Orange 12 and Orange 20, as well as all G-Bus routes, have taken the lead to enable the mobile payment of QR CODE bus riding service in Taiwan. People can take the bus by just swiping their mobile phone to pay by Line Pay Money (iPass QR CODE).

    The Bureau asked each taxi fleet to dispatch taxis to the cruise terminal. With this service, all passengers of the homeport cruises are able to return home smoothly within 2 hours.

    Borrowed from the Land Administration Bureau, a piece of vacant land located at the corner between Minzu 1st and Ln.13, Jiouru 2nd Rd. (adjacent to Minzu Viaduct), is used for the construction of Minzu 1st Rd. Public Parking Lot, which alleviates local parking needs with 110 parking spaces for sedans and 12 for motorcycles available.

    Four cultural tour bus routes, Hamasen, Fongshan, the old city of Zuoying, and Hongmaogang, were upgraded to city buses, 99, Orange 8, Red 59, and Red 13, respectively. After the upgrade, buses run at a higher frequency, and the bus fare is charged by the mile instead of the one-day pass (NT$50). This scheme is applicable to discounts of "free rides from the third section onward in one day" and "one free section by transferring from bus-to-bus." Moreover, citizens may scan QR codes on the route map to access to information on each cultural site to have cultural travel on a deeper level.

    Due to the pressing need for local parking, the former green park area of the Water Resources Bureau with a few parking spaces was reconstructed and turned into Cingpugou Public Parking Lot. It provides 194 parking spaces for sedans and 127 spaces for scooters.

    To implement human-oriented transportation and solve pedestrian-vehicle conflict and parking violation issues, the Bureau set up “traffic calming zones” in areas with more pedestrians and students, including junior high schools and elementary schools in the city, connecting existing sidewalk network and reducing driving speed. From January to July 2019, the Division completed two traffic calming zones at Baohua Vil. and Heti Community, Sanmin District, and the establishment of “neighborhood living alley” created a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles.

    In order to increase parking supply and sound parking spaces for nearby residents and shoppers, the idle land on Fusing 2nd Road near Sintian Road in Sinsing District is borrowed from National Property Administration to set up the Fusing 2nd Road Public Parking, providing 100 spaces for small vehicles.

    The abandoned dormitory of the former Bus Service Administration was demolished. Its site is now the Lindeguan Public Parking Lot that has 131 parking spaces for sedans.
