To ensure that the traffic control measures for the light rail project such as the road type and signals along the railway as well as the interface plan for major public infrastructure development projects along the railway can be successfully submitted to the Traffic Safety Supervisory Committee for its review, the Bureau invited scholars, experts, and relevant agencies of the city government to set up a circular light rail traffic integration team which offers a platform for the discussion of light rail traffic integration issues.
Regarding the first phase light rail project, the circular light rail traffic integration team of the Bureau has held eight meetings since April 2013 to discuss issues such as traffic maintenance, control measures, and signal planning along the railway during the construction and the environmental planning for sidewalks and bike paths in the future, thereby connecting to the second phase project. The Bureau has also been requested to submit a report on traffic maintenance, road type planning, and planning of transfer facilities for the entire construction at the second phase to the Traffic Safety Supervisory Committee for its review in accordance with the regulations for traffic maintenance planning in this city.
