“Take a Bus for Free with your QR Code” event receives positive feedback and will be extended until October 31, 2021!

[Kaohsiung News] Good news! As the “Take a Bus for Free with your QR Code” event is so popular among the public, the Transportation Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government has extended the event until the end of October 2021. Passengers can travel throughout Kaohsiung by bus with a quick scan of their phone.
Director-General Chang Shu-Chuan of the Transportation Bureau says Kaohsiung City has taken the lead in promoting mobile payment services on all buses in the city. The services have been available since September 1 and the “Take a Bus for Free with QR Code” event was launched from September 1 to 30. According to the statistics, there were less than 1,000 passengers using the services per day in the early stage, but the number has reached more than 2,000 by the end of September. More and more passengers take a bus with their QR code as mobile payment services are used more frequently. The event receives positive feedback and will be extended until the end of October. Welcome to make good use of it.
The “Take a Bus for Free with QR Code” event has been extended until October 31, 2021. Passengers can take a bus for free by scanning the QR code provided by Line Pay Money, EasyWallet and iCash Pay when getting on and off the bus. For detailed information, please refer to the Transportation Bureau Facebook fan page “tbkcdream” or the official website (www.tbkc.gov.tw).
A reminder from the Transportation Bureau: Let’s stay vigilant on epidemic prevention. Please wear a mask at all times when taking a bus and keep in line with the real-name registration regulation by the central government to travel safe and sound.
