Push-Button Bicycle Signals with a Voice System The innovative push-button pedestrian and bicycle signals with a voice system was first installed at the intersection of Wufu Road and Gongyuan Road (Hesi Road) at the beginning of 2008. This trial operation gained positive recognition among the citizens. The push-button signals were then installed along all the bike paths and school entrances, where pedestrians and bicyclists frequently go across. These signals have also been installed at 35 intersections in this city, and have effectively strengthened safety of pedestrians and bicyclists. |
